Asst. Director - India STEM Mission

Job Summary: 

Assistant Director - India STEM Events, will be responsible for generating business and driving revenue from various STEM events, including the India STEM Summit & Awards, conferences, exhibitions, and other related activities. He will lead efforts to attract sponsors, exhibitors, and participants, and ensure the successful planning and execution of high-impact events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to generate revenue and business opportunities from STEM events.
  • Identify and secure sponsorships, partnerships, and exhibitor opportunities for STEM summits, awards, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and pitches to potential sponsors, exhibitors, and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize revenue and ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of STEM events, including the India STEM Summit & Awards, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, and coordination with vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure events are executed according to high standards, meeting objectives and delivering a positive experience for attendees.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met for each event.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the STEM sector.
  • Evaluate the success of each event by analyzing performance metrics, attendee feedback, and financial outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed reports on event outcomes, including revenue, attendance, and stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Marketing, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience); Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10-15 years experience in business development, sales, or event management, preferably within the STEM or education sector.
  • Strong understanding of STEM education and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to secure sponsorships, manage budgets, and deliver successful events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management software.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
